One of the things most games do not seem to need is another resource management game but I would highly recommend this one. It has the feel of many other games as you have workers which go to places to fight for resources. The difference with Leonardo is that players also pay for resource using victory points in an ingenious way. Then the players race to be the first to complete inventions which is done secretly. This creates lots of situations for strategic thinking and creates an interesting game with lots of player interaction.
