Recently we seem to have been having a lot of discussions about what is a broken army.  Everyone seems to feel that Dark elves, Vampire counts, and Deamons are broken but what about the other recent armies.  High elves where the first of this series and they are very good but quite dull to play. They do have flaws though as they are very vulnerable to chariots, and fear.  The Chaos Warriors at first seemed quite tame particularly compared to Deamons but the more dogs I play the beter they are.  Their magic defence seems to rely on magic item tricks though and unless you play a lot of mauraders you do not get many models.  This seems to be the same complaint against the lizardmen but 12 saurus warriors with spear seem to beat most units.  They also can have awesome magic defence with slaan and engines of the gods. The salamanders are also loaded with tricks.  Now both these armies seem to creat rock hard armies but of 50 models and is such a small army really any good.  It seems to me that even moderate shooting wrecks them but I also could be wrong and with the tournament season still coming up I will have to wait for the results to settle this argument.
